It’s Not Always Easy So Stop Expecting It To Be!

Bit o’ rant (filter off I’ve been up since 2:30 am 😎)

Soooooo….I gotta say something.

Not every issue can be solved in a 3 step answer.

Not every emotion can be swept away with a funny meme and ‘5 things you need to know about…{insert coachy babble catch word}’.

Not every business wobble has a formatted bullet point PDF solution.

I had 4 calls with 4 incredible people yesterday.

4 UNIQUE, dynamic, brilliant humans with human stuff and fears and stumbling points who wanted help so they came to me.

I didn’t repeat a templated answer to anyone.

I listened more than I spoke (shocking, I’m aware- I had to train myself in that one!)

I met them where they are and showed them some cracks in the veneer and WAITED to find out what they wanted next before telling them what I know to be true.

I changed gears a few times so I could bring them to a different perspective by the time each call ended.

Sure there are common themes.

And stuff each person experiences in themselves, their relationships and their businesses that can SEEM like what everyone else experiences.

But there seems to be a quick fix, easy answer, non-direct way that lots of people are having their questions responded to that irks me.

I don’t believe that to be true.

Each individual comes with a history, a way of seeing themselves, what they do and who they want to be.

Don’t we all deserve to have our vulnerability met with attention and bespoke care if we go to someone to help us?

Doesn’t matter if it’s business support, emotional help, relationship advice.

There are enough books and google searches to last us all a lifetime.

Please start trusting your gut and stop allowing people who aren’t willing to slow down enough to HEAR what you have to say be the ones you trust with what you want help in.

‘I’ve never felt so heard.’

‘I thought I was uncoachable but talking to you was like talking to an old friend who gets me’.

‘I never saw myself like that thank you for showing me ME’.

‘I didn’t know I could be more until you came along’.

THAT’S why I get up on days I don’t feel like bothering.

Find a friend, a mentor, a community- whatever you need, but stop beating yourself up for feeling like those stock answers don’t fit you.

They don’t fit 95% of us.

And also…..no one is broken, we all just have stuff to adjust ❤️

Once you can take OFF the label of I’m too broken to fix as well as the expectation for a quick suture, you can allow your brain and heart to step up and allow you to explore, grow, mess up, success and all of the other wonderful ranges we as humans are meant to experience.

So the question is- do you want to pretend to have it all under control for an imaginary audience of ‘The They’ out there or actually begin to flourish no matter what it takes.

If it’s #2, I’m here.

If it’s #1, I’m also here 😉

Choose YOU.

It’s really the only option anyway.
